We would like to present and share with you an album that is special for us. It reveals all the turbulent emotions that were part of our everyday lives during 2020-2021 Covid pandemic. Most of the compositions originated during this time period. Playing together at home helped us get through the lockdown, which was a challenge for most of the musicians. This album is a result of our meetings, of us trying to find consolation in music. And of us hoping to understand what the role and meaning of it is in our lives

Pianist – Piotr Wyleżoł and guitarist – Szymon Mika are among most outstanding European jazz musicians with already quite a history of playing together. They have been touring across the world both with their original projects as well as sidemen for such artists as Jeff Ballard, Yumi Ito, Andy Middleton, Dayna Stephens and many more. “Loud Silence” is all about the intimate, acoustic sound of this duo – the piano and the guitar. Their music is deeply rooted in the tradition of contemporary jazz, however not without very individual sound and approach to it. Original material recorded for “Loud Silence” is complemented by duo’s take on two probably most acknowledged jazz standards of all times: Stella by Starlight and Take Five.
